Now consider that during this period the Brazilian economy has been going from strength to strength, it has left a financial middle class of Brazilian of over 20 million who can now afford a western style mortgage and are looking to own their own quality property.

The figures are summed up perfectly by Reuters Real Estate Analysts, they have predicted there will need to be 27 million new properties built in the next 15 years just to meet local demand.

That's an average of over 34,000 properties completed every week for 15 years just for Brazilians. Now there is no way that this figure is going to be met so demand is always going to outweigh supply.

Brazil: A property Investors' Haven

Brazil land and property investment currently provide one of the best opportunities in the world. Brazil real estate has shown impressive gains - not for nothing has Brazil been voted as a top world property investment destination.

Foreign investment into real estate is actively encouraged in Brazil; foreigners can own 100% of land and property within the country, which is not always the case in emerging markets. This is viewed as a major contributory factor, alongside the favourable currency exchange rate for foreign investment. This has enabled investment into real estate in Brazil to soar.
